Legendary Death-Grind outfit Exhumed have just released a lyric video for their new song Carbonized. Over their 20 year long career these brutal freaks continue to release some of the sickest music out there and Carbonized is no exception.
The song opens with a visceral roar and an assault of guitars and sickening vocals. The song carries on with lightning-fast vocal delivery and a good variation of vocal ranges, mostly relying on the typical back and forth low to high vocals. The production is on par with their last release the EP “Worming” kind of going with a rawer feeling as opposed to for example, 2017’s Death Revenge. This song is the 2nd single to be released off their upcoming full-length album “To the Dead”. Towards the end of the song there’s a great solo, kind of a staple of this style of Carcass inspired death-grind.
Visually the lyric video is fairly typical but visually pleasing featuring old film footage in the back and a font type that’s reminiscent of that style. Overall, I give this about a 4/5.
